Baklan: Open Source SIP Phone for Android
Baklan is an Android-based open-source Voice over IP (VoIP) phone or SIP phone that enables users to communicate freely with people over the internet. The program is developed by Baklan Communications, available for free, and is compatible with Android 9.0. Baklan is built on the Linphone application with additional features and improvements.
The program uses the SIP protocol, an open standard for internet telephony, and can be employed with any SIP VoIP operator, including their SIP audio service. Additionally, Baklan provides HD audio and rich codec support, including Opus, SILK, G.711, Speex, iLBC, and GSM. The program also has an echo cancellation feature, a very intuitive UI, integrated billing information, and a contact list that is integrated with the primary account contact list. Baklan also has a call history feature and an account wizard to create or restore an account at Baklan SIP Communications.
